Imagine stepping into a living room where you feel instantly welcome.

You take some soup, grab a drink and before you know it you are part of a ritual that has been taking place for thousands of years around the world: the sharing of food, music and stories.

We connect with each other through storytelling. From folk tales to reinterpretations, from personal accounts to original works – stories help us understand each other and navigate the world around us.

This is Mezrab in the House.

A home for the storytellers of Groningen.

Mezrab in the House is all about sharing, and sharing works both ways. Want to come tell a story at a Mezrab event? We end every night with an open mic for short stories, where we randomly draw names from a hat.

Interested but a little unsure if you’re ready to tell your story? tgEntropy frequently gives workshops and courses on storytelling to help you develop your stage presence and your story.

Already an experienced storyteller, and want to share your story at a Mezrab in the House Groningen? Are you a musician interested in supporting the night? Drop us a line at!
